Course description
The course will review current forensic mental health issues at the various stages of the criminal justice process, clinical and behavioural specificities, and vulnerabilities of special populations of offenders. It will also review risk factors for aggressive behaviour and criminality, assessment methods, as well as current debates in the field of forensic mental health.

Course objectives
This course is designed to provide students with an overview of current interactions between mental health and the law, and to help students acquire an understanding of the relation between mental health problems and antisocial behaviour and criminality. This is a 3-credit graduate or upper undergraduate course.
